Tomorrow is the big day! First, a huge thank you to everyone who'd donated to this year's Pink Bike raffle. We'll be closing the raffle this evening at midnight UTC--yes, because so many of you have donated from all around the world, we just went with the good, old atomic clock. That works out to 8:00pm Eastern daylight savings time here.

Why Choose our Fit System?

When we chose to develop our Rider Profile on-line fit system, we entered into the project with a few core beliefs. Fit is the most important aspect of any bicycle purchase. That, above all else guides us. Equally important, though, is our belief that proper bicycle fit involves communication between individuals. Regardless of the technology brought to bare in the fitting process, the truth is that accurate and comprehensive bicycle fit demands a motivated individual to conduct the fit and offer analysis, and a motivated individual determined to find the best fitting new bicycle. Together, these two individuals can elevate the entire concept of "fit" to a comprehensive process, involving analysis of the physical dimensions of the customer, but also much more. Our personal approach to each rider's fit needs involves a detailed analysis of all elements of the bicycle--not just the size of the frame and components, but the intended use of the bicycle, and the unique riding style of the individual.
When we set out to develop our Rider Profile on-line fit system, we realized the magnitude of the task at hand: to properly fit a wide variety of individuals to a wide variety of bicycles with the highest possible degree of precision--without having the benefit of a rider here in the store. Creating a successful solution involved admitting that there is no automated form currently available with which to determine bicycle fit with any degree of accuracy, and approaching the fit process from the customer's point of view. Our Rider Profile fit systems has successfully fit over a thousand riders based on our simple and reliable formula: we spend time communicating personally with you. When you complete a Rider Profile from Speedgoat, you receive a personal typed analysis and a CAD-based drawing of your dimensions set over those of the bike you are considering. In an increasingly automated world, we're well aware that our method here is not designed to be the most efficient means of "processing" and individual, but we never set out to process people in the first place. Our goal has always been to match each rider with the perfect bike.

Speedgoat Return Policies
PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING RETURN AUTHORIZATION!

Speedgoat provides a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on all regularly-priced, non-closeout items. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, fill out this form and we'll set up a return. Returns will be credited for the full price of the items, minus a 15% restocking fee (or your actual shipping price, at our discretion). This policy pertains to any order in our system that has already been processed for payment and sent to our shipping department.

Why the restocking fee? This covers our carrying, packaging and labor costs, which are included in our prices, as well as the credit card fee which we pay even when the item is returned. In many cases it also covers shipping, which we pay for all internet orders over $100. If we made a mistake which necessitated the return, we will of course waive the restocking fee.

Returns must be issued within thirty (30) days of the purchase. This limitation is not imposed by Speedgoat, but is instead a common restriction imposed on credit card transactions in general. Returns can only be credited to the card used to make the initial purchase. In the event that we are unable to issue a credit to your card, we reserve the right to issue a store credit or gift certificate for the refund amount.

Speedgoat does not accept item exchanges, except in cases where we have mis-shipped an item. Please do not request an exchange. Our policy is to credit your card for a returned item once the item is received in new, unused condition. Our credit policy allows you to purchase the new item immediately, or even purchase it elsewhere if you'd like, and it helps us more efficiently process your refund.

Please inspect all items carefully upon delivery. Any damages or defects must be noted immediately, and even defective items are ineligible for return after thirty days. Items will only be accepted for return in new, uninstalled, unused condition. Items that have been removed from sealed packaging, mounted, modified, and/or installed, are unfortunately not eligible for return. Installation of cleats onto shoes instantly voids return eligibility, as does wearing a shoe outside or in any way marking the sole of the shoe.

At Speedgoat we do everything we can to make sure every order is 100% correct. If you feel an item on your order to be missing or incorrect, or if you feel your order was damaged in shipping, please first check your invoice to ensure the item in question was ordered correctly. If you feel a mistake has been made on our part, please fill out this form immediately to request a Return Authorization (RA) number. If a return is determined to be necessary due to a mistake on our part, we will arrange to have UPS pick up the item at our cost, and will of course waive any and all restocking fees. International customers ineligible for UPS service must still complete a Return Authorization Request, and will be reimbursed for their return shipping expenses at our discretion, provided returned packages are clearly labeled "warranty/return."

All return shipments must include an RA number, displayed clearly on the outside of the package. We cannot be responsible for shipments which do not include an obvious and legible RA number on the outside of the package. We also highly recommend shipping your returns using a traceable courier.

Use this form to request an RA number to return a product to Speedgoat. Speedgoat will refuse any returns which do not clearly display the RA number on the outside of the package. Speedgoat does not issue RA numbers via email or over the phone, please use the form below to request an RA number. RA Numbers are typically issued within one business day of the request.
