Relay I/O modules with SPST, DPST and SPDT configurations and fault insertion I/O modules

Relay Switching

Relay (switching) I/O modules are used for potential-free digital contacts or for switching to external loads.

Speedgoat offers a range of relay (switching) I/O modules. For low signal levels, I/O modules with low thermal offset voltage ensure accurate operation under most conditions and a long service life. For higher voltages and currents, I/O modules with electro-mechanical relays are available.

Each I/O module comes with Simulink® Real-Time™ driver blocks, Simulink® test models, and comprehensive documentation.

  • Single-Pole Single-Throw (SPST), Double-Pole Single-Throw (DPST), and Single-Pole Double-Throw (SPDT) switch configurations
  • Ruthenium reed relay options suitable for low level signals
  • Relays switch up to 300VDC/250VAC, 2 A with 60W maximum power
  • High reliability Pickering reed relays for maximum performance
  • Fast operating speed - 250µ typical

Fault Insertion

Fault insertion I/O modules are used to verify safety-critical applications, where the behavior of a control system behavior must be thoroughly evaluated.

Fault insertion I/O modules are typically used for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing to apply sensor conditions such as short/open circuits or other electrical failure due to age, damage, or faulty installation. Speedgoat provides a comprehensive range of fault insertion I/O modules.

  • Each of the channels can switch a current up to 10A (125VDC/250VAC)
  • Electromechanical or solid state MOSFET switches
  • Choice of channel counts and switch configurations
  • Current handling capabilities from 1A to 40A
  • Choice of 1, 2 or 4 fault buses
