Sponsoring Package for Formula Student Teams

Dear Formula Student Teams,

Speedgoat and MathWorks are proud supporters and sponsors of Formula Student. During the 2016/2017 season, the GreenTeam Uni Stuttgart Formula Electric team received support by Speedgoat with a real-time target machine acting as the ECU, and by MathWorks with a software, training, and support bundle.

Overall results of the GreenTeam were outstanding with four podiums, including the win of prestigious Formula Student Germany at Hockenheimring, see also the GreenTeam User Story.

For the new season, Speedgoat and MathWorks are now again offering a unique support package to select teams, apply now!

MATLAB & Simulink software is available to Formula Student Teams at no charge by subscribing to the MathWorks Support for Student Competitions.

How to Apply

Please prepare and submit a proposal document (3 pages max, PDF format) to [email protected] by September 30th, 2018.

The proposal needs to address at least these points:

  • What (micro)controller hardware are you currently using?
  • Why would you prefer a Speedgoat Baseline real-time target machine?
  • What alternative microcontrollers are you looking at?
  • What I/O and protocol interfaces will you be requiring?
  • What are your plans for the upcoming and the next three seasons assuming you have Speedgoat Baseline?
  • Describe your team’s experience using Simulink to design vehicle or subsystem controllers.
  • Will you be ready to acknowledge the support you receive e.g. on your car or your materials? Please share your ideas.
  • Will you be ready to share your achievements and successes with Speedgoat and MathWorks in joint user story articles, interviews, videos or conferencepresentations? Please share some ideas.

The selected teams will be announced by October 22nd.
