Accelerate the development of infotainment and multimedia systems to provide a seamless user experience

Infotainment systems provide the driver with information about the vehicle and allow access to various vehicle settings.

Ease the design and testing processes of the overall vehicle user experience (UX) and user interfaces using real-time simulation.

Design and test instrument clusters, the logic for human-machine interfaces (HMI) or controls for advanced audio processing. Rapidly prototype and test logic designs and closed-loop controls on real-time target computers without being constrained by embedded controllers. Run digital twins on real-time target hardware for automated testing and identify/eliminate any design flaws easily and much faster to save valuable time during iteration.

“The Speedgoat real-time target machine was selected because of its widespread use in the hearing instruments industry."

"I am impressed by the relatively short time required to convert the MATLAB® code into a running real-time implementation."

Human-Machine Interfaces in Vehicles

The human-machine interface (HMI) is a crucial component of modern infotainment and multimedia systems and a vital factor in the vehicle's overall user experience (UX). Leverage Stateflow® to efficiently design control logic or create user-interfaces using MATLAB App Designer. Iterate designs while being connected to the vehicle's networks or simulate the vehicle to systematically validate the production-level HMI.

Active Noise Cancelling in Vehicles

Noise-canceling systems create enjoyable and safe driving experiences by reducing the perceived noise levels from external and internal noise sources (e.g. road or wind noises, noise from the engine or the HVAC system). Validate and verify audio-signal-processing control designs such as adaptive noise canceling using state-of-the-art DSP techniques, including real-time adaptive filtering.

Instrument Clusters

Use hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation to test instrument clusters of virtual vehicles. Validate whether display components (e.g. the speedometer, the revolution counter, or the fuel gauge) work correctly and whether important warning messages or the status of the assistant systems are properly displayed. Connect the instrument cluster to a Speedgoat real-time target machine running a virtual vehicle and create direct interfaces using analog and digital signals or standard communication protocols such as CAN, CAN-FD, FlexRay or Automotive Ethernet. Create optimal workflows that allow the testing of instrument clusters in real time without needing access to vehicle prototypes.
