This I/O module offers an Artix®-7 chip with 200k logic cells, flexible functionality, reconfigurable at any time using FPGA code modules, or your own algorithms designed in Simulink with HDL code automatically generated using HDL Coder. The IO332 is well-suited for a broad range of applications requiring closed-loop rates up to 10 MHz, high frequency acquisition and signal generation, support of analog and digital inputs and outputs, I/O connectivity, and high-speed communication protocols.The IO332 also features high-speed memory, 8 multi-gigabit transceivers and 64 reconfigurable digital I/O channels. Its I/O connectivity is defined by the selection of a front plug-in and an optional rear plug-in.

Support for either IO33X front plug-ins providing a variety of digital (TTL, LVDS, CMOS), RS485/RS422, and analog functionality.

Optional IO3XX rear plug-ins allow the digital lines of the IO3XX FPGA I/O modules to be accessible from the front of the enclosure, and convert them to TTL, RS422 or RS485.

Multiple IO332 I/O modules can be connected together via the up to 8 rear multi-gigabit transceivers (MGT), supporting the Xilinx Aurora protocol for lowest latency, high bandwidth communication.

Installation

IO333 with carrier

For installation into the Performance real-time target machine the IO332 FPGA I/O module is mounted on an XMC to PCIe carrier together with the optional front plug-in (e.g. IO33X-2). The optional rear I/O signal conditioning plug-in (e.g. IO3XX-21) is mounted on another PMC to PCI or PMC to PCIe carrier in the PCI/PCIe slot next to the IO332. The two modules are linked through a ribbon cable at the rear.

The IO332 can be installed into all Speedgoat real-time target machines. However, rear I/O lines (64 single-ended digital / 32 LVDS) are only accessible with the Performance real-time target machine. Cables and terminal boards for rear I/Os are included in delivery.

The I/O lines of the front plug-in modules are always accessible, for all target machines.
