IO317: Configurable FPGA I/O Module

Configurable FPGA I/O module with Spartan 6 FPGA, digital I/O, and Simulink driver blocks

Flexible and cost-effective digital FPGA I/O module, configurable and reconfigurable with your preferred set and channel count of FPGA code modules at any time with configuration implementation (CI) files provided by Speedgoat.

Selectable FPGA code module functionalities covered include PWM generation and capture, encoder measurement and simulation, high speed protocols including SPI, I2C, and UART (RS422/RS485), Cam and Crank measurement and simulation, and triggering and synchronization support. Spare digital I/O line can be used for general purpose digital on/off requirements.

Delivery of each configurable FPGA I/O module also includes a cable and terminal board for loopback testing and to quickly connect with your hardware. The I/O pin mapping for your selection of FPGA code modules is provided together with your custom configuration implementation file, and delivery of each FPGA code module includes Simulink driver blocks with configurable dialog fields and Simulink test models.

I/O lines

  • 32 x ESD protected front TTL I/O lines with pull-resistors. The voltage level (3.3V, 5V, or ground) is software configurable by group of 16 I/O lines. Input/output direction is software configurable by I/O line
  • 16 x RS422 differential front I/O lines
  • 64 x rear LCMOS I/O lines to connect with IO3XX rear plug-ins for signal conditioning, or access directly
