Model-based development of high-fidelity electromechanical systems

JMAG® is a finite element analysis (FEA) software for designing and optimizing electromechanical systems. Engineers use JMAG to develop electric motors, generators, actuators, and power electronics components. They can accurately simulate electromagnetic fields, losses, thermal behavior, and efficiency across operating conditions, helping them to shorten development cycles, improve performance, and reduce reliance on physical prototypes.

Integration Benefits

  • Leverage JMAG finite element analysis results to incorporate nonlinear effects, such as material saturation and spatial harmonics, into hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and power HIL simulations.
  • Import JMAG-RT models designs directly into Simulink®  or Simscape™
  • Seamlessly deploy and run FEM-based motor models on FPGAs to represent ultrafast current and torque dynamics.
  • Incorporate FEM-based motors and inverters on FPGAs to access higher-order harmonics for increased HIL testing reliability.
