IO334: Simulink-programmable FPGA I/O Module

Simulink-programmable FPGA I/O module with 16 analog outputs and 16 analog inputs for high-end applications, with Simulink driver blocks

This I/O module offers a Kintex®-7 chip with 325k logic cells, can be programmed from your own algorithms designed in Simulink at any time, and can include features from FPGA code modules. HDL code can be automatically generated using HDL Coder.

Analog Inputs

  • 16 x 16-bit differential analog inputs.
  • Maximum simultaneous acquisition frequency of 5 MSPS

  • ±10 V or ±2.5 V maximum operating voltage range of the input pins

Rear I/O

  • 64 x single-ended LVCMOS I/O lines or 32 differential LVDS I/O lines from the rear connector to connect with IO3XX rear plug-ins so that signal conditioning can be accessed from the front of the enclosure, and converted to TTL, RS-422 or RS-485.
  • 4 x multi-gigabit transceivers (MGTs), to exchange data with other FPGA-based I/O modules, supporting the Xilinx Aurora protocol for lowest latency, high bandwidth communication.

The IO334 FPGA I/O module is installed directly in the Performance real-time target machine (no additional carrier required). The optional rear I/O signal conditioning plug-in (e.g. IO3XX-21) is mounted on a PMC to PCI or PMC to PCIe carrier in the PCI/PCIe slot next to the IO334. The two modules are linked through a ribbon cable at the rear.

The IO334 can only be installed in Speedgoat Baseline or Performance real-time target machines
